The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened registration for its May 2026 examinations. Candidates can apply for the foundation, intermediate, and final levels. The application deadline is March 16 .
Registration Details
The ICAI CA May 2026 application portal is now live on the official website, icai.org . The standard application period closes on March 16. Applicants can submit their forms with a late fee of Rs 600 until March 19.
An application correction window will be available from March 20 to March 22. This period allows candidates to change their chosen exam city and medium.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the foundation level, candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination from a board recognized by law. Students currently appearing for their Class 12 exams are also eligible to apply. These students may register provisionally. They can submit their Class 12 admit card instead of a mark sheet. Students who have passed Class 10 can also register provisionally and will need to submit a scanned Class 12 admit card.
All students must register with the ICAI Board of Studies (BoS) by January 1, 2026 . They must also complete the mandatory four-month study period before appearing for the exams.
