Ahmedabad and Vadodara Investigations
In Ahmedabad, Deputy Commissioner of Police (SOG) Rahul Tripathi reported that all threats were hoaxes. Bomb detection and SOG teams conducted thorough checks. Nothing suspicious was discovered on any school grounds.
Vadodara’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Himanshu Verma echoed this. He stated 17 Vadodara schools received similar hoax emails. The emails were brief, containing general support for Khalistan and bomb threat timings.
Verma described the emails as generic, sent to multiple schools. Investigations into the email origin are ongoing. The specific schools targeted included DAV International School and Asia School in Ahmedabad. In Vadodara, D R Amin School and Baroda High School were among those evacuated.
This incident follows a similar event on January 23 . Several Ahmedabad schools received comparable bomb threat emails then, which also proved to be false alarms.
