GOA — The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has secured a Rs 5 crore endowment commitment from its alumni. This initial commitment was announced during the 100th birth anniversary celebration of GIM founder Fr. Romuald D’Souza. The institute aims to raise Rs 20 crore in the first phase of its endowment drive.
The commitment reflects support from GIM’s alumni network, which comprises 7,000 individuals . The endowment will support GIM’s long-term institutional goals and academic initiatives.

The celebration for Fr. D’Souza took place with notable guests. Governor of Goa Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju and former Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India Montek Singh Ahluwalia attended as chief guests. The event marked a key moment for GIM’s institutional development.
During the event, GIM also received its AACSB accreditation certificate . Prathap Das, Regional Head of Asia Pacific for AACSB, presented the certificate to GIM’s Director, Ajit Parulekar. This accreditation places GIM among the top 6 percent of business schools globally .
