Answer Key and Challenges
IIT Guwahati will provide a limited period for candidates to submit any challenges against the provisional answer key. Using the answer key and their response sheet, candidates can calculate their estimated scores for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026.
Exam Details
The GATE 2026 computer-based test was conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. The exam included various question types: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
GATE 2026 Purpose and Validity
GATE 2026 scores are used for admission to MTech and PhD programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other participating institutions. The score is valid for three years. It can also be used for recruitment in several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
Result Declaration
The GATE 2026 result is scheduled for release on March 19 .

- Click on the GOAPS portal link on the homepage.
- Log in using your enrollment ID or email address and password.
- Select the ‘view response’ link.
- Choose ‘Master question paper and answer key.’
- Review and download your GATE 2026 answer key and response sheet.
