Strict Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must adhere to a set of strict guidelines on the day of the examination. These rules ensure fairness, security, and a smooth testing environment for all participants. Failure to follow these instructions may result in immediate disqualification from the examination.

Required Documents:

  • A printed A4 copy of your GATE admit card. This document is non-negotiable for gaining entry.
  • A valid original photo identification (ID) document. Acceptable IDs include an Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, or a College ID. Photocopies, scanned images, or digital versions of IDs are strictly not accepted.

Prohibited Items Inside Exam Hall:

Timeliness is critical for all candidates. Entry to the examination hall will be strictly closed 30 minutes after the scheduled start time for each session. No exceptions will be made for latecomers under any circumstances. The GATE 2026 examination will be conducted exclusively at designated centers located within India. There are no provisions or arrangements for overseas examination locations.
