The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) opened registration for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2025 session on November 14 . Candidates can apply online atnatboard.edu.in. The application window closes on December 4 , 2024, at 11:55 PM. The FMGE screening test is scheduled for January 17 , 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the FMGE December 2025, applicants must meet specific requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a primary medical qualification. The Indian Medical Council (IMC) or National Medical Commission (NMC) must recognize this qualification.
  • The medical degree must originate from a college or university. This institution must be listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) at the time of the candidate’s admission.
  • Candidates must have completed a one-year internship. Alternatively, candidates must expect to complete it before the examination date.

Document Specifications for Registration

Applicants must upload specific documents. Each document requires adherence to strict specifications:

Photograph

  • Upload two photographs.
  • Photograph must not be older than three months. It cannot be a pre-saved photo.
  • Image size must be less than 80 KB.
  • Format must be .jpg or .jpeg.
  • Dimensions must be 45 mm in length and 35 mm in width.

Signature

  • Sign on a blank white page without lines.
  • Mark a box sized 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height) on the page.
  • Sign within the marked box using a blue or black pen.
  • Save the scanned image in .jpeg or .jpg format.
  • Crop only the box area.
  • Image size must be less than 80 KB.

Thumb Impression

  • Use a fresh blue or black ink pad.
  • Take a print of the left thumb horizontally within a box.
  • Set scanner resolution to 200 dpi.
  • Save the scanned image in .jpg or .jpeg format.
  • Crop only the box area.
