Delhi Traffic Advisory: North Campus Road Closures for College Event

Traffic in North Campus, Delhi, will face disruptions on Sunday, October 27, 2024 , until 10 pm. Delhi Traffic Police issued an advisory due to the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. Several key roads around the university will be impacted. These include Chhatra Marg, University Marg, Sudhir Bose Marg, Guru Teg Bahadur Marg, and Mall Road. Traffic diversions will be in place at major junctions to manage crowds and ensure smooth movement.

Specific Diversion Points

Diversions will be enforced at junctions like St. Stephen’s College, Hindu College, Kranti Chowk, Patel Chest, and Mall Road. Emergency services will have unrestricted access.

Mall Road to Chhatra Marg

Vehicles traveling from Mall Road toward Chhatra Marg will be diverted at the Chhatra Marg-Mall Road T-point. Traffic heading from Mall Road to University Marg will divert at University-Marg-Mall Road T-point. This route leads toward Khalsa College red light before proceeding via Guru Teg Bahadur Marg.

Guru Teg Bahadur Marg to Chhatra Marg

Traffic moving from Guru Teg Bahadur Marg and Vijay Nagar Marg towards Chhatra Marg will be diverted from Patel Chest. These vehicles will then follow Guru Teg Bahadur Marg. The route continues through Sudhir Bose Marg and Sant Kirpal Singh Marg.

Malkaganj Area to University Marg

Vehicles approaching the Rugby Ground on University Marg from MCD Chowk, Malkaganj, and Bonta Park will be diverted. The diversion starts at the St Stephen’s red light. Traffic will proceed toward Kranti Chowk and then via Guru Teg Bahadur Marg.

Parking Advisory

Drivers are advised against roadside parking in the affected zones. This practice can impede traffic flow. The diversions are designed to maintain order during the event.
