Delhi School Teachers Get New Online Training: Enroll by March 2026

Teachers in government and private schools across Delhi will participate in a new round of structured online training. The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has announced the reopening of several professional development courses for the current academic year. These programs aim to enhance educators’ skills across various critical areas. Enrollment for all courses is open until March 10, 2026 , with mandatory completion by March 15, 2026 .

SCERT offers three key training categories: NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads’ and Teachers’ Holistic Advancement), General Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and specialized nano courses. These opportunities are available to teachers, school heads, and teacher educators in all Delhi schools, including government, aided, unaided, and private institutions.

NISHTHA Program: Core Foundational Learning

The NISHTHA program focuses on foundational education. Courses under NISHTHA cover Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). These courses are delivered in English, Hindi, and Urdu. The program’s objective is to improve teaching practices at the foundational stage, aligning with the National Education Policy guidelines. This training equips educators to build strong early learning foundations for students.

General CPD: Addressing Contemporary Challenges

General Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses tackle a broad spectrum of contemporary educational themes and societal challenges. These courses provide educators with knowledge and practical skills in areas such as:

  • Cyber hygiene and social media safety
  • Understanding and preventing cyber crime
  • Promoting digital wellness among students and staff
  • Practices for inclusive education
  • Instructional design for techno-pedagogy integration
  • Media literacy and critical thinking
  • Financial safety and awareness
  • Data privacy and protection protocols
  • Environmental hazards, including e-waste management
  • Action research methodologies
  • Effective use of open educational resources

These topics ensure teachers remain current with evolving educational needs and technological advancements.

Nano Courses and Digital Enrollment Process

In addition to NISHTHA and General CPD, SCERT offers concise nano courses. These short, focused modules specifically address cyberspace safety and related digital security areas. All training modules for every course are accessible in digital format through the DIKSHA portal. This online platform provides a comprehensive learning experience, including video lessons, text-based learning materials, and integrated assessments. Participants can complete the courses at their own pace, ensuring flexibility within the prescribed timeline.

Deadlines and SCERT Guidance

The enrollment period for all online training courses concludes on March 10, 2026 . All enrolled participants must complete their respective courses by March 15, 2026 . SCERT has issued an advisory, urging all teachers and school heads to adhere to this schedule. The council warns that course links will automatically expire after the completion deadline. This training initiative aims to strengthen the professional capacity of educators. It ensures access to updated pedagogical approaches and digital skills across Delhi’s school system, benefiting both teachers and students.
