CUET UG 2026: NTA Reopens Applications Until Feb 26

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the application window for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. Students can submit their applications on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in, until February 26 .

CUET UG 2026 Exam Details

The CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to take place from May 11 to May 31, 2026 . The exam will be administered in India and select cities abroad. Test-takers can choose from 13 languages for the exam. These include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, and Hindi.

The NTA reopened registrations following numerous requests from candidates seeking more time to apply and pay the application fee.

Application and Exam Structure

During the application process, candidates can select a maximum of 5 subjects for the CUET UG 2026 test. The examination offers a total of 37 subjects, comprising 23 domain-specific subjects and 13 languages. The paper is designed to be 250 marks. It includes three sections. Each correct answer earns 5 marks. One mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Students can find the detailed syllabus on the NTA’s official website.

The CUET UG exam serves as the entrance test for undergraduate admissions to 47 central universities. Over 300 other colleges across India also use the CUET scores for admissions.
