The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised all candidates for the Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 to update essential documents now. This includes Aadhaar cards, UDID cards, and category certificates. NTA stated these early updates will prevent application issues for the exam scheduled for May 2026 .
The NTA will open the online application window for CUET UG 2026 registration on its official website, cuet.nta.nic.in . The CUET exam facilitates undergraduate admissions to 47 central universities and over 300 colleges across India. The exam will cover 37 subjects and run in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.
Required Document Updates
NTA emphasizes updating specific documents before the registration period. This ensures a smooth application process and avoids discrepancies or rejections.
- Aadhaar Card: Applicants must update their Aadhaar Card with correct personal information. This includes name, date of birth (matching Class 10 records), latest photograph, address, and father’s name.
- UDID Cards or Disability Certificates: Candidates with disabilities must hold valid and renewed UDID Cards or Disability Certificates.
- Category Certificates: Category certificates (EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL) must be updated and remain valid at the time of application.
NTA’s official notice stated these proactive updates are necessary "to streamline the process for CUET (UG)-2026." The agency aims to prevent "discrepancies, grievances or rejection" at later stages of the application. Candidates should regularly visit NTA’s official websites, nta.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in , for all CUET UG 2026 updates.
