CUET PG 2026 Exam Begins March 6: Details & Guidelines

The National Testing Agency (NTA) began the Common University Entrance Test – Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026 on March 6. The first shift of the computer-based exam started at 9:00 AM. Exams will continue across the country until March 27.

Exam Schedule and Logistics

The CUET PG 2026 will be conducted on March 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 27. A total of 157 subjects are covered by the exam.

Candidates can download their admit cards and city allotment slips for March 7 to 10 from the official NTA website: exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/.

Security Measures at Test Centres

The NTA has implemented strict security protocols. Candidates must undergo Aadhaar-based biometric verification at their test centres. All examination centres are under constant CCTV surveillance and are equipped with signal jammers.

The NTA explicitly warns against unfair examination practices, stating, “No candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices as the examination centres are under surveillance of live surveillance CCTV and equipped with jammers.”

Required Documents and Prohibited Items

Entry into the CUET PG 2026 examination centre is conditional on presenting specific documents. Candidates must carry:

  • Two passport-size photographs.
  • One original valid photo ID proof. Accepted IDs include Aadhaar card, PAN card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport, e-Aadhaar, Ration Card, or Aadhaar enrolment number with a photograph.

Several items are forbidden inside the exam hall. These include mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators. Electronic devices are strictly prohibited.

Candidates with medical conditions are permitted to carry eatables and medicines. However, packed food items like chocolates or sandwiches are not allowed.
