Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) will provide a ₹15,000 incentive to the first 25 affiliated colleges applying for National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation. This initiative is part of the University College Accreditation, Review and Excellence Scheme (U-CARES).

CSJMU Encourages College Accreditation

The university announced the U-CARES scheme during a recent workshop on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and NAAC. The goal is to foster a culture of accreditation among its affiliated institutions.

The incentive aims to motivate colleges to actively pursue accreditation. This process involves preparing and improving academic quality over the long term.

Workshop Focuses on Quality Improvement

The workshop, titled “NIRF and NAAC Assessment for Improving Academic Quality in Colleges,” was organized by CSJMU’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the College Development Council.

Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi, Director of IQAC, stressed the importance of NAAC and NIRF. He urged colleges to take concrete steps for quality enhancement and prioritize accreditation and ranking.

Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice Chancellor and Director of the College Development Council, spoke about institutional identity. He stated that academic quality, research, innovation, student progress, transparent governance, and social responsibility define higher education institutions.

Pathak encouraged colleges to make quality assurance a permanent part of their work culture.

The workshop saw participation from principals, IQAC coordinators, and teachers from CSJMU-affiliated colleges across the region. Attendees focused on preparation, documentation, and institutional coordination for accreditation.
