The CLAT UG third allotment has been postponed indefinitely. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) announced the delay. It was originally scheduled for February 5. The postponement follows a directive from the Allahabad High Court. The court ordered a revision of the UG merit list.
Court Order and Revision
A single judge issued a ruling on February 3. The judgment addressed question number 9 of CLAT UG booklet C. It also covered equivalent questions in other sets. The court stated that both options B and D should be considered correct for this question.
The Consortium must now revise the CLAT UG scores. This revision will impact the merit list published on December 16, 2025 . The court specified that this revision should not affect candidates who secured seats in the first two counselling rounds.
Consortium’s Next Steps
Following the court’s order, the Executive Committee of the Consortium decided on a course of action. They will file a Special Appeal. This appeal will be heard by a division bench of the Allahabad High Court. The Consortium intends to challenge the single judge’s order.
Revised Schedule Expected
A new CLAT counselling schedule will be published soon. Candidates can find updates on the official website. The website address is consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Further information will be shared there.
