CBSE Postpones March 2 Class 10, 12 Exams in Middle East

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed March 2 Class 10 and 12 board exams in seven Middle East countries. The decision affects schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The exams originally scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2026, will not proceed as planned. CBSE announced the postponement via its official X account. A circular was also sent to schools informing them of the change.

Revised Schedule Pending

New dates for the postponed exams will be announced later by CBSE. The board stated it will review the situation on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

This review will determine the status of examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards. Decisions regarding these later exams will be made after the review.

Reason for Postponement

CBSE cited the current situation in parts of the Middle East as the reason for the postponement. The board did not provide further details on the specific circumstances.

Guidance for Students and Schools

Students are advised to maintain contact with their schools. They should also regularly check official CBSE updates for new information.

Schools are instructed to inform students and parents about developments. They must provide necessary guidance to students regarding the exam schedule changes.

Fake Circular Warning

CBSE recently issued a warning about a fake circular circulating online. This false notice claimed the cancellation of board exams in the Middle East region.

The board clarified via its official X account that the circular was not legitimate. It urged students, parents, and schools to disregard unverified information.
