CBSE Class 10 Exams Begin Feb 17: Reporting Times, Rules

The Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE ) will begin the Class 10 exams on February 17, 2026 . The first examination scheduled is Mathematics. This paper will be conducted from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM using pen and paper.

Exam Day Instructions

Students must arrive at their assigned examination centre by 9:00 AM . This allows time for security checks and verification of documents. Entry into the examination hall will be strictly prohibited after 10:05 AM.

A hard copy of the board-issued admit card is mandatory for entry. Students must present this card during security checks. The board strictly prohibits mobile phones and all other electronic devices inside the exam hall. Any attempt to bring these items will lead to disqualification.

Examinees are required to wear their school uniform and carry their school ID card on exam days. Allowed items include the admit card, stationery, and a transparent water bottle. Prohibited items include any loose sheets of paper or electronic gadgets.
