CBSE Board Exams 2026 Start: Traffic Alert for Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) begins its Class 10 and 12 board examinations today, February 17, 2026 . Over 46 lakh students nationwide and in 26 countries are registered to take the exams. Students must arrive at their exam centers by 10:00 AM , as examinations commence at 10:30 AM.

Traffic Disruptions Expected

Traffic congestion is anticipated due to the simultaneous AI Impact Summit 2026. This international event runs from February 16 to February 20. Route diversions and delays are possible across various locations. The Delhi Police has issued an advisory to students.

Field staff from the Delhi Police are instructed to assist students who present their admit cards or date sheets. Students should factor in extra travel time to reach their exam centers punctually. Coordinated measures are in place to minimize inconvenience for both exam-takers and summit attendees.

Exam Day Essentials and Rules

All candidates must carry their CBSE Class 10 and 12 admit cards. These cards contain personal details and the exam schedule. Entry to the examination hall is strictly prohibited without a valid admit card.

Students are permitted to bring only hard copies of their admit cards. The following items are banned inside exam centers:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smart watches
  • Calculators
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Loose sheets of paper
  • Exam study materials
  • Any suspicious items

Candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the conclusion of the examination. Any discussion of questions or instances of cheating during the exam will result in disqualification.
