CBSE Board Exams 2026: Middle East Exam Circular Fake

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has debunked a fake circular claiming the cancellation of some board exams in the Middle East for the 2025-26 academic year. The board confirmed the document circulating on social media is not authentic.

Fake Circular Alert

CBSE issued a public alert via its official X account. The board stated, “Important Alert!! This is a fake circular. An official update will follow.” They urged students, parents, and schools to disregard the misleading information. The fake notice falsely claimed that the cancellation was due to geopolitical events.

Details of the False Claim

The fabricated circular suggested that remaining Class 10 and Class 12 language papers, along with the Class 10 Social Science exam, were cancelled. It falsely stated this applied to all examination centers in the Middle East region. The fake document also claimed alternative evaluation methods, such as internal assessments, would be used.

What the Fake Circular Said

The fabricated notice read, “The remaining Language Papers for Class X and Class XII are scheduled in all examination centres in the Middle East region. This includes all language papers scheduled from 28.02.2026.” It further specified this alleged decision was only for regular students in the Middle East facing operational difficulties.

Official Clarification and Next Steps

CBSE has not announced any changes to the 2026 board examination schedule for the Middle East. Students and stakeholders are advised to rely only on official announcements from the CBSE website for accurate information. No official update confirming exam cancellations has been released by the board. Further details regarding the examination schedule will be posted on the official CBSE portal.
