Key Dates and Exam Sessions
BITSAT 2026 will be conducted in two sessions. Session 1 runs from April 15 to April 17, 2026 . Session 2 will take place from May 24 to May 26, 2026 . Candidates can appear in both sessions; the higher score will be considered for admission.
Applicants who missed Session 1 or did not initially apply can register for Session 2 during its dedicated application window.
Eligibility and Academic Criteria
Candidates must have passed Class 12 in either 2025 or 2026 . A minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) is required. Additionally, candidates must achieve at least 60% in each individual subject (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology).
Students who passed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier are not eligible for BITSAT 2026. If a candidate reappeared for Class 12 subjects, they must submit both the original and improved marksheets; the latest marks will be used for eligibility assessment.
Program Eligibility for PCM vs. PCB Students
Students with a PCM background are eligible for all first-degree programmes offered at BITS campuses. However, PCB students face restrictions. They can only apply for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) and Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Environmental and Sustainability Engineering programs.
Furthermore, PCB students admitted to BPharm programs are not eligible for dual degree options or transfers to other BE programs. Candidates currently enrolled at any BITS campus are also ineligible to apply for BITSAT 2026.
Application Process
A single online application covers admissions to all three BITS campuses: Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. Candidates do not need to apply separately for each location.
Test dates and slots cannot be changed after selection during the application process. Center changes are permitted only during the official edit window, accessible via the application portal.
Candidates can retrieve lost application numbers or printouts using their registered email ID on the online portal. BITS will not send application forms by post or email.
Dual Degree and Integrated Programs
BITS offers a dual degree option. Students admitted to MSc programmes may become eligible for an additional BE degree based on their first-year academic performance. These MSc programmes are four-year integrated first-degree courses taken after Class 12; they do not award an intermediate BSc degree.
As previously stated, PCB students admitted to BPharm programs are explicitly restricted from dual degree allotments or transfers to other BE programmes.
International Admissions
Foreign nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) holders can apply for BITSAT. They also have the option to apply through the International Student Admission (ISA) mode. Applicable fees align with the official schedule, and the applicant’s nationality must match their passport.
Admissions for the BITS Dubai campus are managed independently. Interested candidates should visit bits-dubai.ac.ae for specific application details.
