Bihar Engineering University Partners for Digital Academic Resources

PATNA – The Bihar Engineering University (BEU) signed an agreement on Friday with the Gandhinagar-based Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre. This pact provides free, institutional access to national-level digital academic and research resources for all government engineering colleges in Bihar.

The agreement was signed by Pradip Kumar , BEU Registrar, and Devika P Madalli , INFLIBNET Centre Director. State Science and Technology Minister Sunil Kumar attended the signing ceremony.

Enhanced Access to Digital Resources

Under this new agreement, students, research scholars, and faculty members across all government engineering colleges in Bihar will receive direct access to a wide range of academic and research materials. This institutional access requires no direct payment from individual users.

The initiative aims to strengthen research facilities within these institutions. It ensures that users can access high-quality academic content comparable to leading institutions nationwide, according to an official statement.

Minister Kumar added that digital platforms like INFLIBNET provide government engineering college students and researchers with high-quality academic content on a single platform. This enables them to access learning and research resources on par with leading institutions nationwide.

Science and Technology Secretary Pratima highlighted the practical benefits of the agreement. “This will enhance the quality of project work, seminars, theses, and research activities,” Secretary Pratima said. She also noted that it will reduce dependence on multiple sources for information.
