The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has become the first board in India to earn International Standardisation Organisation (ISO) certificates. This recognition acknowledges the board’s excellent reforms and timely declaration of Class 10 and 12 results over the past seven years.
ISO Certification Details
BSEB received ISO certificates across three critical areas. These include quality management systems, information security management system, and record management system. The board’s process for granting recognition to Matriculation and Intermediate level schools also met the high standards required for certification.
Technological Reforms and Digitization
BSEB has transformed its examination process using information technology, software, and advanced technology. This integration has created a transparent and student-friendly system. A significant part of this reform involves digitizing Class 10 and 12 records. Records from 1983 to 2025 are being converted to digital format. This initiative supports enhanced record management and information security.
The board also implemented a paperless system for committee records. This step promotes environmental sustainability while ensuring transparency and accountability in record management.
Advanced Data Infrastructure
To support its digital initiatives, BSEB established an advanced data centre. This facility boasts a 200 TB capacity. It secures and efficiently maintains all student records. The data centre also hosts various computerized applications used by the board.
Online Student Services
The board has launched the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS). This government initiative enables online enrollment for intermediate classes. It streamlines the admission process for students.
Prior Accolades
