The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam released the stray vacancy round merit list for NEET PG 2025 admissions to MD and MS programs on February 26. A total of 190 candidates qualified for state quota seats.
Merit List Details
The merit list is available on the official website, dme.assam.gov.in. Candidates were selected across various categories. 21 candidates were shortlisted under Scheduled Tribes (Plains). 8 candidates were selected under Scheduled Tribes (Hills). The State Health Quota (SHQ) included 41 candidates . No candidates were listed under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category.
Reporting and Agreement
Candidates who received seats must report to their assigned colleges between February 27 and February 28 . All admitted students, including those under the State Health Services Quota, must sign a registered agreement. This agreement is on Rs 100 stamp paper and must be completed within two weeks, per Assam PG Medical Admission Rules 2021.
Preferred Courses and Colleges
MD Community Medicine was the most selected subject in the stray vacancy round. Gauhati Medical College was the most preferred institution among the candidates.

- MBBS degree certificate
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- Birth certificate
- Valid identification proof
- Reservation certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile certificate (if applicable)
