Students intending to appear for the Assam Class 12 board exam 2026 must submit their application forms by November 25, 2025 . The ASSEB has clarified that only online applications will be accepted. No offline or provisional forms will be considered. All eligible students must complete their registration within this deadline.
Candidate Classification
The board categorizes candidates based on their enrollment status. Only students from permitted and recognized streams will be treated as regular candidates. Others will be classified as Institutional Private (I.P.) candidates. A key rule for I.P. candidates is that no subject changes are permitted after the initial form submission.
Passing Criteria
Students must meet specific minimum marks to pass both the HSLC and HS examinations. These criteria apply to both theory and practical components where relevant.
For HSLC (Class 10) Candidates:
- Secure a minimum of 30% marks in each individual subject.
- Achieve a minimum of 30% aggregate marks across all subjects.
- Pass separately in both theory and practical components, if applicable to the subject.
For HS (Class 12) Candidates:
- Score a minimum of 30% marks in the theory component of each subject.
- Score a minimum of 30% marks in the practical component of each subject.
- Achieve a minimum of 30% aggregate marks in every subject.
