Ashoka University will offer 100% tuition fee waivers to 50 top performers on the Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Mains) 2026. This is part of the university’s Special Merit Scholarships for the 2026-27 academic session.
To be eligible, students must score at least 98% on the JEE Mains 2026. They also need to meet Ashoka University’s general admission requirements.
The application deadline for the Special Merit Scholarship is May 31, 2026 . Interested students can apply through Ashoka University’s official website at ashoka.edu.in.
Scholarship Details
The university stated the scholarships are designed to support high-achieving students. This recognition is for excellence in a competitive national entrance exam.
Selected students will enroll in the university’s Computer Science or Natural Sciences undergraduate programs. The 100% tuition waiver will cover the entire duration of their degree.
Ashoka University Vice-Chancellor Somak Raychaudhury commented on the initiative. He said the university values academic excellence. The waivers aim to attract bright students into its interdisciplinary environment. He added that the goal is to develop future leaders with strong critical thinking and social responsibility.

Overall, Ashoka University plans to award 500 merit and need-based scholarships. This includes 200 newly introduced merit scholarships.
Of these 200 new scholarships, 150 are Achievers’ Merit Scholarships. These offer up to 100% tuition fee waivers based on academic performance and the admissions process.
The university will continue to offer need-based scholarships. These can include full fee waivers based on students’ financial circumstances.
