The registration for the AP POLYCET 2026 examination is now open. This exam allows students to apply for diploma courses in engineering and non-engineering fields across Andhra Pradesh. The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET) is conducting the test.
Key Dates and Deadlines
Candidates must submit their applications by April 20 . The examination is scheduled for May 13 . The exam will take place in a single shift, running from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Late applications are accepted with a fee. A late registration fee of Rs 100 applies after the April 20 deadline. For even later applications, a tatkal fee of Rs 300 is required, with the deadline for this being April 22 .
Exam Details
The AP POLYCET 2026 will be administered in a pen-and-paper format. A total of 120 exam centres are set up across the state. The exam is for admission to polytechnic colleges.
Exam Structure
The question paper consists of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The breakdown is as follows:
- Mathematics: 60 questions
- Physics: 30 questions
- Chemistry: 30 questions
Each correct answer is awarded one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for AP POLYCET 2026, applicants must have successfully passed Class 10 , SSC, or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. The syllabus for the exam is based on Class 10 subjects.
