AP EAMCET 2026 Registration Open: Exams May 12-20

AP EAMCET 2026 registration is now open for engineering and agriculture courses. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) announced the opening of applications on its official website, cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTU) will conduct the AP EAMCET 2026 examinations. The exams are scheduled to take place from May 12 to May 20, 2026. Both engineering and agriculture programs are included in this entrance exam.

Key Dates and Deadlines

The deadline to submit the AP EAMCET 2026 application form without a late fee is March 7, 2026 . Candidates who miss this date can still apply with a late fee. Late fees range from Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000. The final date to submit applications with a late fee is March 26, 2026 .

Exam Schedule

The AP EAMCET 2026 exam dates are confirmed by APSCHE. The engineering exam will be held on May 12, 13, 14, 15, and 18. The agriculture and pharmacy exams will take place on May 19 and 20.

Exams will be conducted daily in two shifts. The morning shift runs from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The afternoon shift is from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The test format is computer-based (CBT).

Exam Structure and Content

Each exam paper will have 160 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

For agriculture and pharmacy, the paper includes 80 questions from biology (botany and zoology). Physics and chemistry will have 40 questions combined. The exam will be administered in English and Telugu. Urdu translation will be available at the Kurnool test center only. In case of discrepancies, the English version of the question is considered final.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian nationals. They must meet Andhra Pradesh local or non-local status requirements for the 2026-27 academic year. Most courses require candidates to have secured at least 45% in their qualifying examination. Reserved categories need 40%.

The minimum age for agriculture and allied courses is 17 years by December 31, 2026. The upper age limit is 22 years. For SC and ST candidates, the upper age limit is 25 years.

Application Fee

The application fee for general candidates is Rs 800. Candidates from BC categories must pay Rs 750. SC and ST candidates pay Rs 70. Payments are accepted online via net banking, card, or AP online services.

Admission Weightage

Admissions to engineering and agriculture colleges will be based on a combination of AP EAMCET scores and Class 12 marks. AP EAMCET scores will account for 75% of the weightage. Class 12 marks will contribute 25%.
