Andhra Pradesh will soon announce a new District Selection Committee (DSC) examination for teacher recruitment. Human Resource Minister Nara Lokesh confirmed the upcoming hiring drive on Thursday. The announcement comes as part of the state’s job calendar. The recruitment drive will focus specifically on the Kurnool region.
Focus on Kurnool Development
Minister Lokesh stated the state government prioritizes development in the Kurnool Parliamentary region. He said the government will extend employment opportunities there. Lokesh based his understanding on a recent walkathon. He observed a development gap in Kurnool. The government is offering industrial incentives to attract investment. This aims to boost the region’s economy.
Teacher Recruitment Details
Previous DSC examinations allocated more teaching positions to Kurnool district. However, the teacher-student ratio remains low. Lokesh also highlighted teacher salaries. He stated that salaries for teachers and data entry operators are higher than in other southern states. These positions fall under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan program.
