AISSEE 2026 Examination Details
The AISSEE 2026 examination is set for January 18, 2026 . This date applies to all candidates seeking admission to Class 6 and Class 9. The NTA will conduct the examination in a pen-and-paper mode, meaning candidates will answer questions using an OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) sheet.
The exam format ensures uniform testing conditions across all examination centers. Students should familiarize themselves with OMR sheet usage prior to the examination day.
Expansion of Sainik Schools
For AISSEE 2026, the NTA has incorporated three additional Sainik Schools into the admission process. This expansion reflects a broader national initiative to increase access to Sainik School education.
