New Delhi, India — The National Law University (NLU Delhi) will open online counselling registration for its BA LLB (Hons) program tomorrow, December 19, 2025, at 6 PM . This process is for candidates who appeared for the All India Law Admission Test (AILET) 2026.
NLU Delhi offers 120 BA LLB (Hons) seats . Approximately 22,532 candidates took the AILET 2026 entrance test. The registration link will be live on NLU Delhi’s official website:nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Registration closes on December 27, 2025 .
Counselling Invitation and Process
NLU Delhi will invite eligible candidates for online counselling registration. Invitations will be based on the AILET merit list and category. The university will invite approximately three candidates for each available seat within respective categories.
Candidates will receive an email or SMS on their registered contact information regarding the AILET 2026 counselling process. Timely registration is essential for admission consideration.
Registration Fees and Payment
A non-refundable counselling registration fee is required. General category candidates must pay Rs 30,000 . Candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories must pay Rs 20,000 .
Payments must be made exclusively through online modes. Accepted methods include Credit/Debit Card, Net-banking, and UPI. Other payment methods will not be accepted, according to the official notification.
Required Documents for Registration
Candidates must upload self-attested documents during online counselling registration. All documents should be in PDF format, compiled into a single file, and uploaded in serial order. The required documents include:
- Class 12 certificates or mark sheets : These must show a minimum aggregate of 45% marks. OBC candidates require 42%, while SC/ST/PwD candidates require 40%. The qualification must be achieved by June 1, 2026 .
- Class 10 mark sheet : Required for age and basic qualification verification.
- Valid character certificate : Issued by the last attended institution. This certificate must not be more than six months old.
- Valid category certificate : Applicable for PwD, SC, ST, OBC, or EWS categories.
- OBC certificate : For OBC candidates, the certificate must be listed under the Delhi State List of OBCs, as notified by the Government of NCT of Delhi, and issued on or after April 1, 2025 .
