The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has opened registrations for the Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET 10). This exam will fill 2,551 nursing officer vacancies across various AIIMS and other institutions.
Registration and Key Dates
The online application window is now open on the official AIIMS exams website, aiimsexams.ac.in . Candidates have until March 16 to submit their applications. The preliminary exam is scheduled for April 11 , with the Mains exam for shortlisted candidates to follow on April 30 .
AIIMS will provide an application status update on March 24 . A correction window for applications will be open from March 25 to March 27 . Exam city information slips will be released on April 4 , and admit cards will be available from April 8 .
Vacancies Announced
A total of 2,551 nursing officer positions are available. JIPMER Karaikal has the largest number of vacancies with 383 posts. AIIMS New Delhi will recruit 282 nursing officers. AIIMS Kalyani and AIIMS Gorakhpur each have over 200 vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) Nursing , BSc Nursing , or Post-Basic BSc Nursing degree from an Indian Nursing Council (INC) or state-recognized institution. Alternatively, a Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) is acceptable, provided the candidate has two years of experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital.
All candidates must be registered as a nurse and midwife with the state council or the INC. The age limit for applicants is between 18 and 30 years as of the application closing date. Age relaxations apply according to government regulations.
Application Fees
Candidates in the General and OBC categories must pay a fee of Rs 3,000 . SC, ST, and EWS candidates are required to pay Rs 2,400 . Specific categories are exempted from the registration fee.
