Candidates pursuing Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) courses can access their results on the official website,aiimsexams.ac.in.
All candidates allotted DM and MCh seats must accept their allocation and report to the designated institute by January 6, 2026, 6 PM . This deadline is critical for securing admission into the super speciality medical programs.
Admission Details for Super Speciality Courses
The INI SS January 2026 seat allotment facilitates admissions to DM and MCh programs across several premier medical institutions. These include AIIMS Delhi, other AIIMS campuses, the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) Bengaluru, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST) Trivandrum.
The computer-based entrance examination for DM and MCh admissions took place on November 22, 2025 . This examination assesses candidates for specialized medical training following their postgraduate medical degrees.
Online Allocation Process
The Round 1 allocation process for INI SS January 2026 utilized an online system based on candidate choices submitted during the choice filling and locking process. Two primary merit lists guided the seat distribution:
- AIIMS Merit List (AML): This list includes candidates eligible for seats specifically at all AIIMS institutions and PGIMER, Chandigarh.
- Common Merit List (CML): This list covers candidates eligible for admissions at JIPMER, Puducherry; NIMHANS, Bengaluru; and SCTIMST, Trivandrum.
Candidates received allocations based on their merit rank and chosen institutions.
Eligibility for Subsequent Rounds
Participation in Round 1 of the online institute allocation is mandatory for eligibility in Round 2. Candidates must understand the conditions for subsequent rounds:
- Eligible for Round 2:
- Candidates allocated a college in Round 1 who select the option for subsequent rounds.
- Candidates considered in Round 1 but not allocated any institute. These candidates automatically qualify for the next round.
- Ineligible for Round 2 (but eligible for Open Round, if any):
- Candidates eligible for Round 1 who did not register or fill choices. These candidates are marked as “NR/NP” (Not Registered/Not Participated).
