About This Scholarship
The Education Concession for Children of Freedom Fighters, Maharashtra 2025-26, is an initiative by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Maharashtra. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to the wards, wives, or widows of freedom fighters who are pursuing graduation or postgraduation courses within Maharashtra.

• For Degree & Postgraduate courses, beneficiaries will receive ₹50 as a monthly scholarship and ₹200 as an annual book allowance.
• For Engineering courses, the scholarship provides ₹60 monthly and ₹400 as an annual book allowance.
The application deadline for this scholarship is March 31, 2026. Candidates will be selected based on their fulfillment of the specified eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Education Concession for Children of Freedom Fighters, Maharashtra 2025-26, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be an Indian citizen.
• Be domiciled in Maharashtra.
• Be the ward, wife, or widow of a freedom fighter.
Important Note: Students who are studying outside the state of Maharashtra are ineligible to apply for this scholarship.

• Freedom fighter certificate: This document serves as proof establishing the applicant's relation to a freedom fighter.
• Current year fee receipt: Documentation of tuition fees paid for the present academic year.

• Bonafide certificate: A certificate from the educational institution confirming the applicant's genuine student status.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply for the Education Concession for Children of Freedom Fighters, Maharashtra 2025-26, by following these detailed steps:
