CBSE Class 12 West Asia Results 2026: New Assessment

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced new assessment guidelines for Class 12 students in West Asia. This plan addresses disruptions caused by regional circumstances. These circumstances led to the cancellation of board exams scheduled from March 1 to April 10, 2026. The new approach ensures results are announced on time. It also maintains academic continuity for affected students.

New Assessment Scheme

CBSE will use a hybrid evaluation method. Students who completed some exams will receive marks based on their actual performance. For cancelled subjects, a composite score from school assessments will be used. This will focus on the ‘Best of Three’ average from quarterly and pre-board exams. Marks from internal and practical assessments already submitted will remain unchanged.

The board aims for global parity in result announcement. West Asian results will be released simultaneously with those in India. Schools have a strict deadline for uploading internal data.

Evaluation Details

The assessment divides students into two groups. This depends on whether they completed exams before the cancellations.

Exams Already Completed

Results for these students are based on their actual performance. Exams took place from February 17 to February 28, 2026.

Cancelled Exams

For cancelled subjects, a ‘Best of Three’ average from school tests will be used. This includes quarterly, half-yearly, and pre-board exams. This applies to theory papers (70/80 marks).

For theory papers (30/50/60 marks), performance on the Final Pre-Board exam will be the sole basis for evaluation.

Practical and internal assessment marks will not change. Schools submitted these marks earlier in the year.

Key Dates for Schools

Schools in West Asia must upload theory marks by specific deadlines.

Activity Date
Marks Uploading Starts April 6, 2026
Last Date to Upload Marks April 13, 2026

Special Cases

Students who switched centers will be evaluated based on their performance at the new location. This includes those who relocated to India.

Supplementary exams may be offered in July 2026. This is for students prevented from taking even one exam due to specific circumstances.
