IIT Delhi PhD, PG Admissions for International Students | Apply by March 30

Admission Overview

IIT Delhi is accepting applications for the academic year 2026-27. The admission portal for foreign national candidates closes at 4 PM on March 30, 2026.

Eligibility extends to non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards.

Application Requirements

Applicants must submit a statement declaring their English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees for recommendation letters.

Referees will comment on the applicant’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English communication skills. This information is detailed in the official notification.

IIT Delhi may require scores from standardized tests. These can include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or DST INSPIRE.
