Application Requirements
Applicants need to nominate two referees. These referees will provide recommendation letters. Referees will comment on a candidate’s aptitude and research potential. They will also assess oral and written English skills.
Submission of scores from standardized tests may be required. These include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), or DST INSPIRE. International exam scores like GRE and GMAT are also considered.
Selection Process
IIT Delhi will base admissions on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records receive interview invitations. Interviews are conducted by a faculty committee from the relevant discipline.
Proof of English language proficiency is mandatory. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examination. Other language tests may also be accepted.
