Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the University of Otago International Academic Excellence Scholarship, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be an international student, meaning they are studying in New Zealand as an international fee-paying student.
• Have successfully completed secondary (high) school or studied at another approved institution that grants University Entrance overseas.
• Intend to enroll in full-time, degree-level undergraduate study, starting from 100-level (first year) through to degree completion.
• Commit to studying on campus for the entire duration of the scholarship.
Important Notes:
• Diploma and certificate programmes are not eligible for this scholarship.
• Students commencing their studies in Semester 2 are eligible to apply.
• Deferrals of the scholarship are not permitted.

• A valid passport or visa, as applicable for international study in New Zealand.
