Program Eligibility and Requirements
Foreign nationals are eligible to apply for PhD and PG courses. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must provide a statement of English proficiency. They also need to list two referees who can submit recommendation letters.

Admission Criteria and Selection Process
Admission to IIT Delhi’s PhD and PG programs may require scores from standardized tests. These include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) or University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), and DST INSPIRE. International applicants can also submit scores from Graduate Records Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).
The final selection will be based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for an interview with a faculty committee from the relevant discipline.
English Language Proficiency Proof
In addition to academic and standardized test scores, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency. This can be proven through scores from tests like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or the Cambridge English Examination. Other recognized language proficiency tests may also be accepted.
