• Not be required to have a PhD or three years of research experience if submitting an artistic or journalistic research proposal. This broader scope encourages diverse forms of inquiry.

• Ensure the project proposal fits within the scope of humanities and/or social sciences. The fellowship is specifically tailored for these academic disciplines.

• Have a good command of English, as it is the working language at NIAS. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication, active participation in discussions, and receiving valuable feedback on research from the fellow group.

Required Documents
