IIT Delhi is now accepting applications from international students for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs. The application deadline is March 30, 2026 . Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official IIT Delhi international admissions website at international.iitd.ac.in.
Admission Details
The application portal is open until 4 PM on March 30, 2026 . This opportunity is available to non-Indian nationals. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards.
Application Requirements
Applicants must provide a statement or self-declaration of their English proficiency. They also need to list two referees who will submit recommendation letters. These referees will assess the candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
Depending on the program, candidates may need to submit scores from examinations such as:
- Indian Entrance Exams: GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, DST INSPIRE
- International Exams: GRE, GMAT
English language proficiency scores are also required. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English Examination.
Selection Process
Admission to IIT Delhi’s PhD and PG programs will be based on an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to participate. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant academic discipline.
