Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is now accepting applications for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs. The application window is open for international students for the academic year 2026-27.
Admission Details
Applications are being accepted through the official IIT Delhi international admissions website, located at international.iitd.ac.in. The deadline to submit applications is March 30, 2026, at 4 PM .
Eligibility Criteria
Foreign nationals are eligible to apply. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Candidates must also demonstrate English proficiency. This can be done through a self-declaration.
Application Requirements
Applicants need to provide the names of two referees. These referees will submit recommendation letters. The referees will comment on the candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English communication skills.
Entrance Exams and Scores

Admission to IIT Delhi’s PhD and PG programs will be based on performance in an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to interview with a faculty committee from their chosen discipline.
