About This Scholarship
The RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Award 2025 is offered by the Royal Geographical Society, with the Institute of British Geographers. • The applicant's experience, skills, and qualifications to successfully complete the proposed work.
• Evidence of sufficient planning concerning health and safety, ethical clearance, and necessary permissions.
• The applicant's awareness of relevant environmental, social, and cultural responsibilities and impacts of the project.
• Justification of resources and the reasonableness, appropriateness, and detail of the proposed budget.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be registered for a PhD (full-time or part-time) at a UK Higher Education Institution.
• Be undertaking fieldwork or data collection outside the UK.
• Demonstrate that the research contributes significantly to geographical knowledge.
