About This Scholarship
This scholarship, offered by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Goa, provides financial assistance to physically handicapped students in classes 1 to 12. It aims to support parents who may otherwise find it difficult to send their children to school due to economic constraints.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend:
• Class 1 to 8: ₹200 per month
• Class 9 to 12: ₹300 per month
The stipends are provided for the full academic year (11 months) in two installments. The first installment is typically provided in September, and the second in January.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Grant of Stipends to the Physically Handicapped Students, Goa 2025, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be a physically handicapped, bonafide resident of Goa.
• Be a regular student enrolled in a recognised school.
• Not be residing or receiving maintenance in any institutions funded by the Government or local bodies.
• Not be receiving any funding from other sources.
• Have an annual family income not exceeding ₹1,50,000.
Important Notes:
• If a family has more than one child with disabilities, all of these children will be eligible for a stipend under these rules, provided they meet all other stipulated conditions.
• Repeaters are generally not eligible for the stipend. However, a single instance of failure can be overlooked at the discretion of the Director of the department.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents along with their application:
• Aadhar card
• Caste certificate (must be valid for 3 years from the date of issue)
• Income Certificate (must be valid for 3 years from the date of issue)
• Marksheet certificate from the last academic year
• Fee receipt from the current academic year
• Bank account details (preferably of the applicant or parent/guardian)
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship by following these steps on the official website:
1. Locate the Application Link: Find the 'Apply Now' button or direct application link on the official scholarship portal.
2. Registration: If you are a new user, click on the 'Register' button and complete the required registration details. If you are already registered, log in using your Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID.
3. Access Registration Page: Specifically, look for and click on the ‘Register’ option located at the top of the page after initial access.
4. Student Registration: Under the ‘Student Registration’ tab, click on the designated ‘Click here’ text to initiate the registration process for students.
5. Fill Application Details: Carefully fill in all the required fields in the application form. After ensuring all information is accurate, click ‘Register’ to submit your initial registration.
6. Confirm and Login: Confirm the entered data. Then, click ‘Login’ at the top of the page and enter your valid credentials to access your applicant dashboard.
7. Verify and Update: After logging in, thoroughly verify all your pre-filled details. Make any necessary changes or updates to ensure accuracy.
8. Complete Submission: Follow any remaining instructions on the portal to finalize and submit your application successfully.
