About This Scholarship
The PM Yasasvi Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students (Class 9 and 10), Andaman and Nicobar 2025-26, is a key initiative by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It aims to support students from the Other Backward Class (OBC) category who are pursuing full-time studies in Class 9 and 10 at government schools within the Andaman and Nicobar Union Territory.
This scholarship provides substantial financial assistance, with selected candidates receiving a consolidated academic allowance of ₹4,000 per annum to aid their educational expenses.
The selection process for this scholarship is straightforward, based on the applicant's fulfillment of all stipulated eligibility criteria.
Prospective applicants should note the crucial deadline: applications must be submitted by 31 October 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be an Indian national
• be domiciled in Andaman and Nicobar
• belong to the Other Backward Class (OBC) category
• be studying in Class 9 or 10 full-time in a government school
• have an annual combined parental/guardian income of not more than ₹2,50,000
Note:
• Scholars receiving benefits under this scheme are ineligible for other pre-matric scholarships.
• Recipients may not hold another educational scholarship for Class 9 or 10 simultaneously. If awarded another such scholarship, the student must select one and inform both the awarding authority and their school principal.

How to Apply
Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
1. Visit the official website or the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) to begin your application.
2. Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
3. Navigate to the 'Students' option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
4. Now, click on the 'Login' button under the OTR option, as it is required to apply for a scholarship on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
5. Click on 'New user? Register yourself' on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click on it.
6. Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox, and click on the 'Next' button.
7. Enter a functional mobile number, captcha code, and OTP, then submit to complete the registration process.
8. Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the 'One-time registration (OTR)' process. (Note: This is a temporary registration number; students need to download the OTR mobile application for face authentication to complete the OTR process.)
9. After successful registration, navigate to the 'Apply for Scholarship' option and click on the 'Login' button.
10. Select the scholarship, fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit.
Important Note: All applicants are advised to fill in the information correctly on the application form. Once the application is submitted, no changes can be made. Additionally, submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
