About This Scholarship
The NSP Centrally Sponsored Post-Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe Students, Nagaland 2025-26, is an important initiative by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. This scheme aims to empower Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Nagaland by providing them with a robust platform for quality education. It offers financial assistance for studies ranging from Class 11 up to postgraduate courses across India.
The scholarship provides significant financial support to selected scholars, with benefits structured based on the category of courses pursued and whether the student is a hosteller or a day scholar.
The selected scholars will receive financial benefits as follows:
• Group 1 • Graduate and postgraduate courses
• This includes professional courses leading to a degree, PG diploma, M.Phil., or Ph.D. in various streams.
• Hostellers: ₹12,000 per annum
• Day Scholars: ₹5,500 per annum
• Group 2 • All non-professional recognised courses
• This covers graduate and postgraduate degrees not included in Group 1, such as B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., M.A., M.Sc., or M.Com.
• Hostellers: ₹8,200 per annum
• Day Scholars: ₹5,300 per annum
• Group 3 • Vocational stream, ITI courses, and 3-year diploma courses
• This group includes courses in Polytechnics and similar vocational training.
• Hostellers: ₹5,700 per annum
• Day Scholars: ₹3,000 per annum
• Group 4 • All post-matriculation level non-degree courses
• This specifically includes students in Classes 11 and 12.
• Hostellers: ₹3,800 per annum
• Day Scholars: ₹2,300 per annum
Additional Benefits for Divyang Students:
Divyang (disabled) students will receive an additional amount of ₹9,600 annually if they are hostellers, and ₹7,200 annually if they are day scholars.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, an applicant must:
• Be a domicile of Nagaland.
• Belong to the Scheduled Tribe community of the state.
• Be pursuing higher education starting from Class 11 onwards.
• Have an annual family income of not more than ₹2,50,000.
• Not be receiving any other scholarship.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
• Aadhar Number
• Domicile certificate
• Scanned copy of certificates, diploma, degree, etc., in respect of all examinations passed.
• Last qualified marks (percentage/equivalent percentage in case of CGPA/OGPA, etc.).
• ST certificate issued by the competent authority of State/UT.
• Family Income Certificate.
• Disability certificate (if applicable).
• Scanned copy of a passport-size photograph.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:

2. If you are a new applicant, click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details.
• Note: If already registered, log in using your Gmail, Mobile number, or Email ID.
3. Navigate to the 'Register' button on the left-hand side of the dashboard to proceed with the application.
4. Fill in all the required details to complete the registration process.
• Note: If the applicant is already registered, kindly log in using valid credentials.
5. After successful registration or login, fill in all the necessary details in the application form, upload the required documents (if specified), and submit your application online.
6. Take a printout of the submitted online application form. Submit this printout along with xerox copies of all the necessary documents to the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, at the following address:
