Admission Process
Applications are managed through the official IIT Delhi international admissions portal atinternational.iitd.ac.in. The portal closes on March 30, 2026, at 4 PM.
Required Documents and Scores
Applicants must submit a self-declaration of English proficiency. They also need to provide names of two referees for recommendation letters. Referees will assess candidates’ aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
Eligibility for PhD and PG programs may require scores from standardized tests. These include:
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
- Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)
- University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET)
- DST INSPIRE
International examination scores are also considered. These include:
- Graduate Records Examination (GRE)
- Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)

Candidates must demonstrate English language proficiency. This can be done through scores from tests such as:

Selection Criteria
Admission will be based on performance in an interview. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to interview with a faculty committee in their chosen discipline.
