Eligibility Criteria
Foreign nationals are eligible to apply. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. This can be done via a self-declaration. They must also provide the names of two referees for recommendation letters.
The referees will be asked to assess the candidate’s aptitude. They will also comment on proficiency in the chosen field. Potential for research and independent thinking are key assessment areas. English language proficiency, both oral and written, is also evaluated.
Entrance Examinations and Interviews
Candidates may need to submit scores from specific entrance exams. These include Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET), and DST INSPIRE.
International standardized tests are also considered. These include Graduate Records Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT). Admissions decisions will be based on interview performance. Strong academic records lead to interview invitations.
An interview panel of faculty members from the relevant discipline will conduct the interviews. Additionally, applicants may need scores from English language proficiency tests. Accepted tests include TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, and Cambridge English Examination.
