Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has opened applications for its PhD and Postgraduate (PG) programs for international students. The deadline to apply is March 30, 2026, at 4 PM .
Foreign nationals, including those with Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards, are eligible. Applications are being accepted for the academic year 2026-27.

Application Requirements
Applicants must submit a self-declaration of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters. Referees will comment on a candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English skills.
IIT Delhi may require scores from specific examinations. These include:
- National Examinations: GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, DST INSPIRE
- International Examinations: GRE, GMAT
- English Proficiency Tests: TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, Cambridge English Examination, or equivalent.
Admission Process
Admission will be based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to interview with a faculty committee from their chosen discipline. The interview assesses overall aptitude, research potential, and communication skills.
