The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is accepting applications for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs from international students. The application deadline is March 30, 2026 , by 4 p.m. Interested candidates can apply online at international.iitd.ac.in.
Eligibility Criteria
Foreign nationals are eligible to apply. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applicants must submit a self-declaration of English proficiency. They also need to provide the names of two referees for recommendation letters.
Admission Process
Referees will evaluate candidates on aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English communication skills. IIT Delhi may require scores from national or international standardized tests.

Selection
Admission is based on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited to an interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant discipline.
