Admission Details
The admissions portal will accept applications until 4:00 PM on March 30, 2026. Non-Indian nationals, including Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders, are eligible. Applicants must submit a statement of English proficiency. They also need to provide names of two referees for recommendation letters. Referees will assess candidates’ aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, independent thinking, and English communication skills.
Eligibility and Requirements
Candidates may need to submit scores from standardized tests for eligibility. These include:
- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)
- Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)
- University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET)
- DST INSPIRE
International examination scores are also considered:
- Graduate Records Examination (GRE)
- Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)
English proficiency test scores from exams like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OPI, OPIC, or Cambridge English Examination are mandatory. IIT Delhi will base admissions on interview performance. Candidates with strong academic records will be invited for interviews with faculty committees in their respective disciplines.
