Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is accepting applications for its PhD and postgraduate (PG) programs from international students. The application deadline is March 30, 2026, at 4 p.m.
Admission Details
Foreign nationals are eligible to apply. This includes individuals holding Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards. Applications are for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Candidates must submit a statement declaring their English proficiency. They also need to provide names of two referees who will submit recommendation letters. Referees will comment on the candidate’s aptitude, field proficiency, research potential, and English skills.
Eligibility and Requirements
Admission to PhD and PG programs may require scores from tests like GATE, CSIR, UGC NET, or DST INSPIRE. International exam scores from GRE and GMAT are also considered.

Selection Process
IIT Delhi will select candidates based on their interview performance. Students with strong academic records will be invited for an interview. The interview panel will consist of faculty members from the relevant discipline.
