Counselling Rounds and Dates
Round 1 of the NEET SS counselling begins on March 10, 2026 . Round 2 is scheduled to start on March 28, 2026 . The new academic session is set to commence on April 10, 2026.
Round 1 Schedule
The first round involves several key steps with specific deadlines. Seat matrix verification occurred on March 9, 2026. Registration is open from March 10 until 12:00 PM on March 15, 2026. Payment facility is available during the same period, closing at 3:00 PM on March 15, 2026. Choice filling will be accepted from March 11 until 11:55 PM on March 16, 2026. Choice locking takes place on March 16, 2026, between 4:00 PM and 11:55 PM. Seat allotment processing is set for March 17, 2026, with results announced on March 18, 2026. Candidates must report to their allotted institutions between March 19 and March 25, 2026, by 11:00 PM.
Round 2 Schedule
The second round also follows a structured timeline. Seat matrix verification will take place on March 26 and 27, 2026. Registration for Round 2 opens on March 28, 2026, and closes at 12:00 PM on April 3, 2026. Payment facility will be available until 3:00 PM on April 3, 2026. Choice filling is scheduled from March 29 until 11:55 PM on April 4, 2026. Choice locking occurs on April 4, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 11:55 PM. Seat allotment processing will run from April 5 to April 6, 2026, with results released on April 7, 2026. Reporting for Round 2 is from April 8 to April 16, 2026, by 11:00 PM.
Important Counselling Information
The MCC is responsible for the counselling of 100% of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Super Speciality Courses. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) provides the qualified candidate data to MCC for this process. The counselling will treat Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays as working days to adhere to the schedule. There is no reservation policy for DM/MCh/DNB admissions. Candidates must register individually for each counselling round they wish to participate in.
